Change your morning and it will CHANGE YOUR LIFE!

Are you the type of person who hits the snooze button 3 or 4 times in the morning before actually getting out of bed? I use to be that person. That alone would usually kick off my day in the wrong direction, waking up to an annoying noise to go to a job I hated, filled with negative thoughts and emotions. Not really the best way to wake up 5 out of the 7 days of the week, I'm sure many of you can relate. I did the same shit over and over for years wondering why I was never getting ahead, why my life wasn't getting any better even though I was doing the grind. Then one day I decided I would never hit my snooze button again. From that day forward my life was forever changed. I realized I wasn't as crabby in the mornings, I was more awake throughout the day, had more energy and then it dawned on me, there was something to that. I started trying different things in the morning to see if and how my life would change. I slowly realized that if you control the first part of the day, the rest of your life is pretty easy.

My morning ritual

SAY IT

It is very important when you wake up in the morning to control your first thoughts. Your first thoughts will put you on course for the rest of you day. Don't leave this to chance, take action, choose to have positive thoughts. Thank the universe in advance for your day.
Say thank you for this life.
Say thank you for everything good in your life.
Say thank you for all the things that makes you happy.
Say thank you for all the things you are thankful for.
When your done with that say the things that you are and that you want to be (as if you already are).
  • I am healthy
  • I am wealthy
  • I am happy
  • I am determined
  • I am strong
  • I am blessed
  • I am unstoppable!
    You can say these things out loud or in your head, it doesn't matter as long as you truly think them. What you are doing is putting good vibrations out into the universe and also into yourself. When you fill yourself with happy positive thoughts first thing in the morning your day will be instantly better than most other days. You find yourself starting off your day with a better perspective and that alone makes life better. The more you say these things, the more you believe them, the more you believe them the more they affect you and the poeple around you. Its the ripple effect for positive emotions rather than the negative ones that most are use to experiencing.

Stretch

After I get my thoughts in the right place I get out of bed and move on to my body.
I try to do 10 - 15 mins of stretching every morning before I start the day. This really wakes up my body, gets rid of all the aches and pains from the night of sleep, it helps to start to build energy. It also loosens me up so I don't feel stiff and compressed, it really makes me feel lighter on my feet.

Goals

While stretching I go over my goals for the day, week, month and year.Everyday I do this. You have continuously remind yourself of what you want and some of the steps you need to get there. It will make your path more clear in the up coming months.

Enjoy morning

Next I usually just enjoy the sunrise, visit with my fiance, show my dogs some love and just appreciate the morning for a little bit. It is nice not to feel rushed right away in the morning. Give yourself time to enjoy waking up to the day.
Exercise
Working out comes next. I hate this part the most, but I have made it part of my routine now so if I miss a day I feel all sorts of lost. No matter what your excuse is for not working out, it is not good enough. Your body is a temple and you should work on improving it a little everyday. You will feel so much stronger in other parts of your life, not to mention healthier and a million other positive benefits. Listen, I know working out sucks, no body likes it! But if you want your life to be better you have to put some effort into feeling great, which starts with working out and eating healthy. You don't have to go to the gym, but do a little cardio like jumping jacks or bur-pee's, do some push ups and sit ups every day, start small with 5 or 10 mins. Even that little bit everyday will help you to feel so much better all day long, I promise ;)
Meditation
Lastly I meditate. Some do this for a long time, some for just a few minutes, any amount of time is better than none. I know many people don't meditate, but it is important to me to do daily. Maybe you would rather pray, or sit in silence and reflect or maybe skip it all together, it really is up to you. But taking time to improve on your inner self will take you far in life. So give it a try, you won't be disappointed.
Nearly all successful people have some sort of morning ritual, so there is obviously something to it. We know that to be successful you just have to emulate successful peoples actions. Therefor if we know they are starting their days off with a morning ritual then you should be too!
Everyone's ritual has to be curtailed to ones self. You have to find what works best for you. Give it a try for 30 days. See how much better your life is. What do you have to loose? Besides for bad mornings! ;)
