A.T.V. adventure
Today was a pretty epic day, it was sunny and 65 degrees so we decided to pull out the All Terrain Vehicles (ATV) and take them on a cruise through the mountains here in Arizona.
These ATV trails run all over through this area, I think I heard someone say there are thousands of miles of trails through out these mountain, and I could definitely believe it. We only drove about 45 miles today but you could see paths everywhere and we could've kept going in any direction. It was nice to be in the middle of nowhere for a change, at one point we didn't see any people or even houses for more than an hour. Sometimes you just need to get away from everything and only be surrounded by the mountains and cactuses (or maybe its cacti? lol, I don't know).
These ATVs can really get up and go. They have motorcycle engines in them and really haul ass when you step on it. We were driving on an gravel road next to the interstate and were keeping up with the traffic no problem, just to give you an idea of how fast these things can go. They really are a blast to drive!
The trails around this area are really fun with all kinds of different terrain. We climbed steep areas, rocky areas with sharp rocks and huge drop offs, but we also drove on plenty of dried up river beds and gravel paths where you can really get some speed.
The scenery was amazing on our ATV adventure. The mountains were always nestled in the back round so the view was absolutely breathtaking all day. I posted a few pictures below so you can see what I'm talking about.
Unfortunately we didn't get nearly as many pictures as we would have liked because we really didn't have the chance to pull out the camera all that often. It is really dirty with dust flying all over the place so I had to constantly keep the camera secured in the camera bag to protect it. So taking it in and out of the bag constantly wasn't really an option all that often today.

The clouds were moving in so we decided to make it a short trip for the day. It really didn't matter how long we went out, we honestly just wanted to have an enjoyable day after all the moving and traveling for the last week to make it here. It was so worth it to be able to soak up the sun and enjoy this beautiful landscape, but the altitude, all the fresh air and the sun has me drained so I think I will stop talking and just let you enjoy the pictures ;)
